I recently worked on a practice project where I applied real-world photography techniques to a 3D space, focusing on product shooting. I set up a detailed scene with proper lighting and used real-world camera settings to emulate authentic photography.

The project involved lookdev for a chocolate bar wrapper created by my partner. I used Adobe Sampler to achieve a slightly raised embossing on the text, then manually tweaked the normal maps in Photoshop. I also created custom masking layers for the gold lettering to make it look like a real sticker, ensuring it had a different roughness from the paper wrapper itself.

This project was a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I picked up new techniques and am looking forward to my next personal project!
